Trout Farm

Today we were invited to neighbor Jack's 5th birthday party - a fishing event at a trout farm. After a seemingly endless stretch of sunny, warm days, this weekend has been gray, cool and misty. With Kai fresh up from a nap and Noah ready to get out of the house for new adventures, we bundled up and set off over the border to Wisconsin. Once we arrived, we were served a yummy picnic lunch which we ate surrounded by the trout-filled fishing ponds. Next, it was time to catch our dinner. Noah had never been fishing before and surprise, surprise, he quickly decided that sedentary sports are not his cup of tea. In fact, a fishing pole never even made it into his hands. This picture pretty much sums up what Noah apparently thinks fishing is all about:

Phil spent most of his time making sure we wouldn't have to go fishing for Noah, which was quite an exhausting responsibility. Kai spent most of the time taking in the action from Baby Bjorn, and once again did not end up in any pictures. Needless to say, after one too many close calls with the water, we decided to pack up and head home! No trout for dinner tonight.....
