Birthday Party

This afternoon we took Noah to his friend Ava's birthday party at The Little Gym. Noah had a lot of fun dancing, playing on the different equipment, jumping and running around, singing Happy Birthday and eating treats. Following directions definitely is not easy for a two-year-old, so I can see why they require parents to stay if your child is under three! Phil did most of the work since I was side-lined with my healing knee. After several days at home on the couch, it was nice to get out for a little bit. When we got home in the early evening, Noah was WIRED. He had melt down after melt down, each one louder and longer lasting than the one before - somehow we managed to get him undressed, bathed and in his pjs. Finally, after lengthy snuggling with about 10 bedtime story books, he relaxed and fell asleep almost before his bedroom door was closed.
