Kai Doesn't Like Swedish School!
I started teaching at "Svenska Skolan" again yesterday morning at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis. It's fun for me to get out of the house and do something teaching-related to keep that part of my brain a little active. Plus the other teachers are great people and fun to be around. Unfortunately, Kai is not very happy about this turn of events. Because of the 35-40 minute commute each way, I am gone for about 4 hours which is just about the maximum amount of time that Kai can go without nursing, assuming he eats just before I leave. He did eat a decent meal shortly before I left, but he got hungry almost an hour before I was due home....oops! I had tried and tried to pump milk with an electric machine for the last 10 days but simply had no success, so I left Phil with some formula to try if things got bad. Well, Kai wanted nothing to do with the stuff - apparently, at one point even Noah tried to feed it to him. Even using a syringe to squeeze some down didn't work. I guess once your used to mama's milk, that's all you want! Needless to say, all three boys were VERY happy to see me when I screeched to a halt in the garage after somewhat of a speedy drive back from Minneapolis!
