The Nativity

When Gram and Daday were here for Thanksgiving, they brought us a Nativity set. Noah has been having a great time acting out the story of the birth of Jesus (it is now "Baby Jesus" instead of "Ms. Jesus") with some new twists and turns. The angel Gabriel has been renamed Angel Briel (our cat's name is Briel) and the Three Wise Men are now the Two Wise Men and they occassionally bring gifts of cars, trucks and trains. During our glogg party this weekend, to the great amusement of neighbor Tony, Noah announced that Baby Jesus needed some milk. He proceeded to lay Mary down on the table, then placed Baby Jesus on top of her in perfect nursing position! Yesterday, Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus were first treated to a ride on top of a Swedish Dala horse, then they waited patiently for Thomas to arrive at the train station to whisk them off to the Island of Sodor.
