Swedish Friends

This morning we had some Swedish moms and their kids over for a play date and to start practicing for Santa Lucia day (Dec 13th). All the other moms had girls, which was a nice change from our neighborhood where practically everyone has boys. So we paraded through the basement rooms, singing our Santa Lucia songs with the kids in tow. We will be performing for the SWEA (Swedish Women's Educational Association) group in early December during their Christmas party. Noah has a lot of practicing to do!! For now the plan is for him to be a tomte (little santa) and Kai to be a pepparkaksgubbe (ginger bread man). We'll see how that goes.....The rest of the morning, the kids played while moms chatted and had "fika".
