Our Little Pirate

Kai's visit with the opthalmologist was quite interesting. I was really amazed at how much they were able to tell me about Kai's eyes, considering his age. They used all kinds of little toys and gadgets to keep his eyes doing what they needed them to do while they looked at him through various types of magnifying glasses. Kai's least favorite part was having his eyes sprayed with the dilating liquid, but overall he was quite a compliant patient. After a thorough inspection, the doctor decided that we will try an eye patch for a couple of months to see if it strengthens the lazy eye. Fortunately, we will only be doing it for a brief period of time each day. As you can see, Kai is not too excited about his new accessory:
