We just spent a wonderful week "up north" with Phil's side of the family. Our destination was the teeny town of Biwabik where we had rented a very comfortable log cabin (really more of a house than a cabin) on Wynne Lake. The surroundings were just gorgeous and the weather more or less perfect with just one rainy day. Most days were spent doing activities around the house - sand castles, swimming, kayaking, taking walks. The golfers got in a few rounds of golf and we did one outing to the town of Ely where we had lunch (I think everyone in Northern Minnesota was having lunch in Ely on that rainy day!) and visited the National Bear Center. Phil and Dadday (Phil's dad) also took Noah on a special outing to a train museum nearby. Kai and Noah had such a great week with their older cousins Katie(9) and Connor(7) who were both so patient with their young and eager cousins. Noah was very emotional about saying goodbye to Katie and Connor and to the lake house and insists that we must go back there soon! Unfortunately, I did not take nearly enough pictures during our week, but here are a few.
