Potty Update

Phil and I thought we had painlessly gotten through the whole potty training thing...turns out we weren't quite there. After having successfully used the potty (both home and out and about) for about 2 weeks without any accidents, Noah had a full day of total regression this weekend. He was kind of out of sorts the whole day in general and I think we ended up going through 9 pairs of underwear! The next day, things were back to perfect again and so far we're back on track. Who knows what that was all about!

On a related note, Noah has gotten really into analyzing his bodily outputs. He still prefers using a potty rather than sitting on the little seat we bought that goes on top of the real toilet. I think he kind of gets into the whole dumping his waste in the toilet procedure. It also allows him to get a really good look. So a week or so ago, he noticed that his urine was red. I told him, "That's because you had beets for dinner last night." So now, he looks at his output (liquid and solid) and occasionally tells me what he thinks it is. He is most enthusiastic about urine, but is running out of yellowish things to name it!
