Having Fun with Friends
Noah, Kai and I get together almost once a week with one of his favorite little buddies, Katherine and her older brother Sam. We met at a class that we took together last year. Today, we all met up at Pump It Up, an indoor playground with lots of inflated toys that you can bounce around in and slide on. It has been an extremely dry, sunny summer so we've mostly been spending our days outdoors, but this morning was stormy and gray. This was our first visit to Pump it Up and Noah had a blast - he spent the first half hour running around and shrieking with glee. Kai was sleeping in a baby carrier so I couldn't really jump around much with Noah. Fortunately, Katherine's mom helped keep an eye on Noah and even lugged him up some long stairs time and again to go down a huge slide. Finally, she was just too exhausted so she told Noah, "This time you need to climb up by yourself." Noah said, "Why?" She said, "Because I can't do it anymore." He said, "Why?" She said, "I'm tired and you're too heavy!" He said, "Yeah, I'm heavy." And up he went. After an hour and half of playing, Noah grabbed my hand and was ready to go home - he was exhausted! In the afternoon we met up with Ava and Gavin at a coffee/ice cream shop that has a great little play area for kids. The kids played while Mom's chatted. It was a busy, fun day!
